Privacy Policy
OrbisNode · hosting & domain services · applies to the website, client portal and Android app.
What we collect
- Account details — name, email, phone, company, postal address, timezone; provided by you at signup or in your profile.
- Identity documents — an ID number and/or document scan (e.g. CNIC, passport), where required to verify account ownership or to register certain domain extensions in your name.
- Billing records — invoices, payments, wallet transactions, and payment receipts you upload. We never see or store card numbers; online payments are processed by the payment gateway you choose.
- Support content — tickets, replies and attachments you send us.
- Technical data — IP address and timestamps in server logs, and the sign-in device name for managing app sessions.
What we use it for
- Providing and billing the services you order (hosting accounts, domain registrations, invoices, renewal notices).
- Registering domains: registrant contact details are passed to the domain registry/registrar as ICANN and the relevant registry require.
- Verifying account ownership and preventing fraud and abuse.
- Answering your support requests.
We do not sell your data, use it for advertising, or share it with third parties beyond the processors needed to run the service (domain registrar, payment gateways, and — when enabled — a CAPTCHA provider such as Cloudflare Turnstile, Google reCAPTCHA or hCaptcha on the sign-in and signup forms). The Android app's QR sign-in uses Google Play services' on-device code scanner; no image data leaves your device.
The Android app
- All traffic between the app and our servers is encrypted (HTTPS).
- Your session token is stored only on your device and is excluded from cloud backups and device-to-device transfers.
- The app requests no permissions beyond network access.
Retention & deletion
You can delete your account at any time — from the app (Profile → Delete account), from the client portal, or by following the steps on our account deletion page. Deleting your account removes your identity documents and numbers, signs out every device, and closes the account permanently.
Invoices and payment records are retained after deletion for as long as tax and accounting law requires, then removed. Server logs rotate on a short schedule.
Contact
Questions or requests about your data: open a support request, or use Contact support on the app's sign-in screen. Either route reaches the same team and gives you a reference to follow up with.
